Following on from the successful deployment of Amos 5, Cobbett Hill Earth Station is pleased to announce the launch of two new iDirect networks spanning the African continent. The two networks (iDirect Evolution and iDirect Infinity) allow for CHE to support clients on either of the iDirect platforms. Launching these networks in parallel ensures that clients of CHE operating on the Infinity platform may upgrade to the Evolution network with minimal fuss.
After a fantastic year in 2011 as the fifth fastest growing teleport in the world, officially recognised and published by the World Teleport Association, Cobbett Hill has continued to see excellent growth in a very difficult market.
Cobbett Hill Earth Station prepares for the launch of services on the Amos 5 satellite. In preparation  for the launch of Amos 5 expected Q4 2011, Cobbett Hill Earth Station has commissioned a new four-port circular feed for a 9.2m antenna which is currently being serviced ready for operation on this new satellite.
After successful testing of a new 6.2m antenna installation at Cobbett Hill, RSCC have approved the commissioning of this antenna for services operating on Express AM22 located at 53⁰E. CHE will be providing Europe & Middle East coverage offering services including iDirect and SCPC. This installation further enhances CHE's KU-Band coverage of Europe and the Middle East, complimenting the existing Global C-Band coverage.
